Ok so here's the deal. I was looking for a specific style holster the other day and having no luck I figured I'd make it myself. I found a box of 8oz scrap and a stitching awl on ebay. I got started and promptly broke the needles on the cheap awl. Now I'm wondering what tools do I need to get to do this right? I've looked up the various stitches and understand a lock stitch, saddle stitch etc..but not sure what size needles, awl etc.. I need for leather that thick or where to get it. Any suggestions?
