JLSleather Report post Posted March 25, 2012 General rule is half the thickness of the leather. This one is in 3/4, as are a good many small projects.
NoName Report post Posted March 26, 2012 Rubber cement your project down to Hot Press (Crescent) Illustration board prior to casing and tooling. The thin leather will emboss into the hot press board slightly and the tooling will appear deeper. Wait until completely dry to peel up. This will also keep your leather from stretching out of shape.
