  1. Hi there Razith, this forum has a section on archery . I myself am an archer and make all my own gear and also make stuff for my club members. If you have a look at my profile you will see the URL for my website. I have just uploaded some photos of my latest quivers. If you need any tips just ask. Welcome to leather net.com. TapTapTap

  2. That is exactly what I am looking for WinterBear, thank you so much.
  3. Okay everyone, looking to start making a shoulder guard, and one issue that I'm having is finding a good thermometer for heating my water. I plan to heat the water around 175ish and harden it from there. Just looking for some good suggestions for what to get. I've looked into Meat thermometers, and while I think they'd work, I'd rather steer clear of digital ones unless I have to(call me old timey) and a Candy Thermometers range is to broad for my liking(100F-400F O.o ). So maybe just let me know what you have luck with if that's not to much trouble. I want one that'll last, I'm good with my tools, so I 'hopefully' won't be breaking it anytime soon. Thanks all. -Razith
  4. Hello to all, from the middle of the Ozarks. Finally decided to get serious about some leatherworking, and I've found no better website then this one. I hope everyone can impart a little of there knowledge off on me, and help me improve my skills. Uh...let's see..interest, yes, let's start there. To be honest, what originally dragged me into leatherworking was the lack of good archery quivers around me -_- (is it to much to ask for a drawstring on my quiver?) So I decided to grab the materials and just set about making my own. Slowly and steadily I think I"m understanding the basics of how leather wants to work, but there's still much to learn. Mostly I try and make things I'll use, gloves, quivers, bracers, etc. So I apologize ahead of time if I ask to many questions, but you can never know to much really. I will offer what knowledge I can give as well, however it's a very limited field haha. Archery and Kenjutsu are probably the two subjects I can help out the most with, so if anyone needs any help/advice with something along those lines let me know. I do a lot of testing of armor and weapons in those fields, so maybe I can be a good test dummy for someone Anyway, it's great to meet all of you, hope you can impart some knowledge on me, and i will do my best not to step on any ones toes. -Razith
