khaki Report post Posted March 24, 2011 this is my first day on this site! not sure what the Topic Poll option is, so am ignoring it. I have been trying to improve my finishing techniques on making leather fashion bags. I look at a lot of nicer bags in stores and I notice that they have Edge-Kote type edging that sometimes matches the color of the leather - orange, red, blue, whatever. I have not found edge-kote in any colors other than brown and black. Would artists' acrylic paint work the same? Or, add something to the paint to make it "hang on" better? I haven't tried art paint yet, and wanted to see if anyone else has a solution. thanks, Khaki

khaki Report post Posted March 24, 2011 Try acrylic paint , it works for me Thanks! Wonder why there aren't colored edge-kotes? do you have any tips for applying? I usually use narrow sponge paintbrushes, but they're expensive. thanks.
