Newbie Bookbinder Needs Burnishing Help

Recommended Posts

I will thank you in advance for you patience if this is a repeated question.

I have been scouring online sources for burnishing techniques and have found so many my head is spinning. I don't know which options would be practical for my purposes. I rebind books with leather covers. I need some advice on the best technique for me to finish and burnish my leather edges to create a beautiful, durable and quality product.

Thanks for any help. :)

Shar

I agree with Dave. Bob Park is the master of beautiful edges. Just follow his process, and you will be amazed at how they look. I haven't quite reached the point where I cam duplicate his edges, but I am getting closer. Just follow closely. Good luck!
