I got that spool about 15 years ago from a friend of mine---someone left it in his shop. The only thing I can say is that the thread in the picture is very strong, waxed and flat Do you think ti's linen? Or synthetic? I would like to compare it to Barbour linen thread (I have to buy a roll but I'm not sure about the size). If it were Barbour what size would it be?
