I noticed that you've braided the bullet loops. Wouldn't the leather used for such a money/cartridge belt be rather thin for this technique? Or did you support it from the backside by a strip of equal thickness?

I used 4oz leather for the belt and the loops. They seem to hold up fine. I have carried it full off ammo and my gun hanging from it and it worked out just great. Only problem is I cut the leather a year before I finished it and turns out I have gained some weight sense then lol. But over all I think the weights of leather were right. Oh also I glue the leather for the loops to the backside of the front when I loop it. That may help. It's still open all the way down. Holds 1oz silver and gold perfectly. Also worked well for my hunting tags.
