Custom made needle plate for my Cowboy CB 4500.

It has a narrower slit for the feed dog ... which also had to be narrowed. The new needle plate is shorter and is not "hanging" that much over the edge of the arm anymore , allowing me to stitch closer to the edge on some of the items I make , without taking anything away from the initial machine's capabilities .

Some of the leather used for my wallets is as light as 3-4oz and the CB 4500 has no issues using a #23 needle with a #138 thread . The revers also works flawlessly .
