Nice and clean tooling. The only thing I don't like is the background. Rotating the stamp would have made it nicer.

Here's a question for you. Will you burnish the edge above the hardware or just leave it as is? Reason for asking is, that I don't know whether it be necessary at all or not.

Thanks Thor - The back-grounding - Yes, I agree - It could use work - I need more practice/stamping time.

I'll burnish above the hardware - I believe it is necessary to seal the leather edge.

Wouldn't you achieve sealing with a couple of finish coats as well?

If you rotate your stamp between your fingers from left to right and back you'll achieve the best result for back-grounding. I've done tons of it thus far and what I do is: holding the stamp about a 1/16" above the surface and let it rotate with each tap. In time this goes like a charm.
