Historical re-creation: Wax Tablets, Brass Stylus and Leather Case
Wax tablets were used for centuries and were stlll being used until the early 19th century in Europe. This project gave me a chance to not only make the case but the tablets and stylus.
Beeswax mixed with lampblack is period and creates the writing surface.
