Dodge City Holster for Remington 1858
I wanted to use real stiff, sturdy leather (10-12 oz), then I realized that I wouldn't be able to bend the holster in order to get it through the loop, so I had to sew the loop to the skirt with the holster beneath. If I let you see the edge you would notice that the thickness of the saddleskirting I used varies. Not knowing how to achieve an even stitching on the backside I punched all holes in advance hoing they would correspond. The pattern is Will Ghormley's of course.
