Billy Bragg Report post Posted March 8, 2014 Here is a cover for the handle of a 2d maglight I made. It was one of my first tooling projects. To attach it i used a light amount of leather weld to keep it from shifting and wanting to slide off.

WScott Report post Posted March 9, 2014 Very cool! Really like your crisp, clean skull details
OdinUK Report post Posted March 9, 2014 I like the design and tooling. Did you use a resist on un-dyed leather on the skull? What finish did you use? It looks quite natural.
Billy Bragg Report post Posted March 9, 2014 i used super sheen on the skull to resist dye ( it is the natural leather under), the eco-flo coal black for the outlines of the skull and eco-flo briar brown for the brown. for the actual finish i came back with a light coat of super sheen buffed it and then a nice coat of fiebings aussie leather conditioner. I have done a few of these with different designs, i will have to track them down to get some pics. thank you all for the kind comments, it always means a lot to get applause from other people who work with leather.
