Awl-Chisel-Dremel
SgtGing replied to harley45's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I use a scratch awl blade pulled from its handle and chucked into my drill press. Unlike a drill bit, the awl blade does not remove any materiel, only moves it aside. I turn the press on to keep the awl from sticking in the leather on the upswing. -
Constructive Criticism Needed
SgtGing replied to AEMcClain's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
This may fall under personal preference, but I would round the corner that is above the rear loop. Right angles tend to fray eventually. Otherwise, it looks good! -

SgtGing replied to keithpip's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
http://www.indygear.com/igaccessories.html I've used the pattern on this page (propertly scaled up) to make a usable flap holster. Good luck! -

I know the most prevalent opinion of EcoFlow dye is not so good, but I was given a bottle for free. Do any of you holster makers use ecoflow for anything? I'm just trying to find a use for it. I use feibings oil dye almost exclusively.

Good job! Very innovative way to incorperate the three colors. I like it.
