About Me
I have been doing custom leather work for 41 years getting my start at age 9 from an older brother. I grew up outside Waco Texas and worked at a milk plant from age 16 to age 21 when I joined the Air Force and was medically retired in 1998. I retired in Blunt South Dakota due to the great hunting fishing and other outdoor activities. I started doing custom tool and knife sharpening for fellow leather workers after discovering that there were allot of great leather workers that had a hard time sharpening their tools and knives and making custom tools just kind of followed. I got interested in gold prospecting about 3 years ago after watching a program on gold prospecting in the Black Hills. I went out prospecting with a friend found a few specks of gold in the bottom of my pan and have had gold fever since. I have a 1949 chevy pickup that my wife calls my rusty lawn ornament that I have been very slowly restoring off and on for several years, maybe I'll get around to getting it done one of these years LOL.
