  1. Thank you so much for this. 🫡 Roger that
  2. Hopefully these are good. I’m also actively removing rust and deep oiling all pieces interior.
  3. I guess I’ll just need to fine tune then. The hook seems sharp and I’m letting machine do its thing.
  4. @AlZilla @kgg Thank you both so much for the advice. I followed all of it. Switched to 135x16. using a size 20 needle with Tex 90 nylon. Made the needle face the correct orientation. Repaired the small thread guide at the bottom. I still feel like my needle is a little too close to the inner wall of the foot but worried to crank on it too hard. It’s sewing like a dream only have a small issue with it skipping every so often or another. Will post new practice pieces after. Again thank you so much for all of your help!
  5. The locking stitch is what I’m practicing right now on some scrap. I’m trying to go forward a few stitches. Spin it around do it again and then spin it around one more time but it’s tough realigning the holes. It was doing really good until this began happening. Messing with the tightness of the different thread tension points to get it perfect. I’ll check your other forum below to see what’s going on. Thanks so much!
  6. That was it!!! Thank you all so much for the help!
  7. This is on my singer 111w155. Does anybody have any idea what I might be doing wrong? Or how I might correct this from happening. Thank you so much for any feedback!
  8. Love it just ordered one on Amazon. Gets here tomorrow. Thank you!
  9. Just tracked down both of these beauties in running condition for $200 on offer up!! If I’m not mistaken that’s as beginners luck as it gets in this realm.
  10. Thanks everyone for all the help so far and getting me in the right direction!!
  11. Yes luckily I already had pretty good grip strength. Luckily tacking them together with rivets made it easier especially with relining the holes.
  12. I was able to get ahold of a Singer 111w155 and a 31-15 both for $200 and they both work great!! Now I’m trying to slow the clutch motor down for the 111w155 and find proper needles and thread and lube for it!! Super excited.
  13. I have now hand sewn two belts from bison and deer hide together. Holy cow!! My hands are sore. Would like to be able to find a sewing machine that can go through 6-8 oz leather that I could sew and make belts with. Big problem is not trying to break the bank preferably under $400 and willing to purchase secondhand. Thanks a lot!! -Scout
