I can't thank you enough for taking the time for the excellent tutorial. Just about every question I had about western style holsters was answered, and everything is clear enough for even me to understand - now I just need to break our the leather and the Ruger and get started! Thanks again- -
Very nice work, and I second the kudos for the excellent photos. Being smooth leather, does it still stay in your pocket well when the revolver is drawn? I considered making one, but most I have seen were roughout. Excellent design and workmanship- Mackel

You might want to look at the May/June issue of American Handgunner, page 34 - there is a photo of a leather (real holster, IMHO) holster for a Springfield XD with tactical light, might give you some ideas- Mackel -

I am in the process of designing my first IWB holster, and the widest belt clip I can find is 7/8". Does anyone know of a source of wider clips? It seems like this would add to the stability of the holster.
