I have many interests...I got started in leatherworking when I was a Cub Scout, carving those round flower patterns and making coasters in the second grade. Some of my earliest memories are of the scent of leather, chewing tobacco, and horse linament-probably at my GreatGrandad's.   I am interested in many different types of leathercraft- I make belts and wallets for friends and family. I have a relative that restores old sports cars, so leather upholstery comes in handy as well(Have you ever ridden in a 1969 Ferrari Testarosa with a hole in the floor board the size of your foot- going 90mph?) I also love horses and the fine workmanship that goes into the saddles at the horse shows. I have a love for authentic antiques with leather accoutrements- like old furniture. I'd love to make my own backgammon and chess board eventually. I'd love to share the little I know with others- we all had to start somewhere. I'm also open to suggestions on making better quality leather products...possibly as a side business someday.
