About Me
Hello everyone, what to say about me. Well quite a number of years ago, I got involved with being a Living Historian for the Civil War era (1860's). While doing research for my various impressions, I discovered that the majority of reproduction gear and clothing was simply not correct. In an effort to be as historically accurate as possible, I began to learn to sew. Cloth was first. Making garments gave me an insight into construction methods and processes. Soon thereafter, I began working with leather. Leather working is where my heart is if you will and I rarely stitch cloth any longer. I am also a perfectionist of sorts and am uncompromising when it comes to my expectations of how a finished project will look. feel. etc.
I come here looking to gain and share knowledge to both further my own understanding as well as to help others in their own quests.
