Hello,

I live in a frozen arctic like piece of real estate known as Northern Minnesota. I have lived here for 15 plus years after growing up in Texas, a stint in Florida and high school in Paw Paw, MI.

I started making knife sheaths at around 11 years old out of linoleum scraps and old boots. I did not have siblings around, so I pretty much constructed whatever sounded fun to keep occupied. I have a full home mini machine shop, two heat treat ovens and a 2x72 belt grinder in the basement with a host of other goodies to build whatever strikes my fancy for the week. My regular job is a technician at a auto dealership. Unfortunately, this job is the best bang for the buck in a rather small town.

I am into knife making, hence the ovens and grinder, but eating abrasive dust gets old in a confined area, so I stretch my hobbies out among a few different things to keep sane. My interest in leather has been steady for years, mostly due to having to construct things I needed such as, motorcycle bags, holsters, belts and sheaths. I also enjoyed spending large amounts of time with my dear departed friend who made concealment holsters for a living. He got his start such as I, by never finding a suitable hoster that was made by someone who actualy carried a firearm. He also had a love of shooting and that was what brought us together. It was a nice trade off as well, He taught me propper leather skills and I made him fixtures for gunsmithing.

Anyways, enough about all that. I figured I would take the time to actualy write a decent intro being that what I have read through these forums has been pretty positive. Many forums I've belonged to have to many know it alls simply trying to boost thier egos. Did not see that yet here and decided I would give this one a shot.. Thanks for reading......Petros
