  1. No sorry long gone, well over a year ago.
  2. Boyd, Glad Sylvia could point you in the right direction. I was out of town all week but just confirmed I don't have one and don't recall ever seeing one. Best of luck.
  3. I appreciate the contacts, interest and purchases in these. I have posted the remaining on e-Bay with auctions ending Sunday 25 April. Take care, Bud
  4. Unfortunately I do not have those 2. I did find a picture in my old catalogue and the only thing close that I do have is a 945 (smallest turnaround) and 732 (shaped like a veiner but smooth). Sorry I don't have the ones you are looking for.
  5. I sold a few of the tools above and have another 250 I have not sorted out yet. I will pick about 50 from there to complete my set and have another 200 (no duplicates) for sale. They are all Craftool Co. USA with letters. All in great shape, don't appear to have much use on them at all. If you are looking for a couple or a whole bunch let me know. I will post all the numbers later tonight. But with 200, it is likely I have what you are looking for. Pricing is the same as above. Thanks.
  6. I built up my tooling set mostly off e-Bay and now have a bunch of duplicates I thought I would put here before going back to e-Bay. I have over 120 Leather Working Craftool Stamps to choose from. Almost all of these are vintage Craftool. As you look at the list below those without a letter are marked Craftool Co. so they should be pre 1963. Some with a letter are also marked Craftool Co. putting them 1963-1968. The others are marked Craftool Co. USA putting them 1969 or later. I have a few new ones as well (marked with a Z in the list). Pricing: 1-10 tools = $3.50ea 11 or more = $3.25ea Shipping: I try to use USPS flat rate boxes and believe I can get up to about 30 packed decent in a small flat rate box, which will be $5.50 for shipping. More than that will jump to a medium flat rate box and $11.00 for shipping. I accept PayPal and try to ship the next day after payment. List of tools 59; 60; 102; A102; Z-A102; 104; F119; B193; B197; 199; B199; 200; B201; 201; 203; B203; P209; 210; P210; P213; Z-P217; P220; P226; P229; 359; N363; 366; V403; V405; 406; Z-V407; 410; 429; C431; 431; Z-C431; 440; 455; 465; 467; W532; 551; 560; D606; S630; S632; 638; 647; Y648; Y649; Z-B701; 701; B701; 705; Z-S706; 708; V708; C709; 710; 732; V745; J816; V821; S843; 880; 888; A888; A889; F890; 891; F891; 895; F895; 896; F896; F897; 899; 902; F902; H903; 903; H904; H908; F910; F912R; F914R; F914L; F918; S931; F933; 935; B936; F941; T944; 945; L949; 966; B970; 976; F976; 987; F990; F996; 1484 stitching tool; 1584 stitching tool; Ken Rich stitching tool Feel free to email for better pictures or to get a brief description of a tool. I will do my best to describe them. All of these are usable, most are in great shape, there are a few with plating flaked off and a few with some pitting marks. If you have a question about the condition of a certain tool or would like a close up picture of one or multiple just let me know. I also have a a large selection of hand tools from another lot I purchased. I will post some pictures of those in the next few days. Thanks
  7. Hello, looking for any expertise on these two items. I bought a large lot of vintage tools because there were a few I really wanted, I ended up with a ton of Tack/Saddle needles and some other things I can at least identify. These two items I am not as sure about. I have seen mallets like this before but most don't seem to reference a maker this one has UA&N Co W MEDWAY No. 2 cast in the bottom washer. The only thing I can find is a place in the UK called Medway? That may make sense, there was a book with the lot called Saddlery and Harness Making edited by Paul N. Hasluck (1994 edition) who seems to be popular in the UK. Anyway, if you have any information about value of this maker I would appreciate it. As for the cast iron dish, I am guessing it is just a caddy to put nails in? It also appears it should be on a stand or post so it can spin? Again any information appreciated.
  8. OK, I had originally thought about medical tubing but after the recommendation to go to an automotive store for tubing I went out to the shop and found some rubber tubing the right size to fit two of my modeling tools. The other two are smaller. The tubing I found was a nice tight fit so from my days as a bicycle mechanic I used the same trick for installing hand grips - Hair spray. It is almost as slippery as soap when it is wet but it dries like a mild glue as opposed to the soap which often never dries. Bottom line, I now have two vintage modelers as good as new, even took a skiver and rounded the ends a little. I may try the leather on one of the two others.
  9. Thanks to all for the great tips, I have 4 to redo so I will try a little of each to see what works best.
  10. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to replace the grips on some vintage modeling tools? I have 3 that I purchased and the tools are in great shape but the rubber grips are old, dried up, cracked and worst of all flake off on your project. This I discovered last night and as I tried to get the little pieces off my wet project some left a black stain behind. I figure it will be easy to get the old grip off, and I was thinking of finging some medical tubing that I could slide on and epoxy in place? Or I could take some nice wood and put a groove in two slabs and epoxy that on and then finish the handles. Thoughts? Other ideas welcome. Thanks.
  11. Happy to share the instructions that come with it. They don't give a ton of information but will help some. Enjoy.
  12. Hello, just a quick question. I purchased some vintage tools on e-Bay couple different lots and received one of these Swivel Tip knives/carvers in each. I had someone interested in buying one and am trying to figure out a fair price. The last one sold on e-Bay was in November so the details are gone, and I can't seem to find any other information about them on the net. I believe they are from some time in the 1960's, I have the instructions with one of them but no date, just claims you can use it like a pen and even do your signature in leather. Thanks for any help.
