I took my first leathercraft class when I was 12 yeard old, with my mother, at my junior high school. Since then I have been making small projects, chaps, saddle bags, belts etc... I always dreamed of building saddles. I had repaired quite a few, and replaced parts, but this week I finished my first built-by-me Cliff Wade loop seat saddle. I'm hooked. Started another youth saddle today, and plan to build a Sam Stagg rig next.
