  2. Hi, thanks, but from what I understand, a chicago screw has a screw on one end. The bit that I have is fixed, ie, it has a cap on both ends which are not removable. These were fairly commonly used on older leather camera straps, and I'm looking for a source for them Thanks anyway. Alvin
  3. Hi all, I'm trying to make a leather camera strap, and I've been looking for a particular type of fastener that appears to be more commonly used in the past. I've taken a picture of a sample that I have, and would be grateful if someone could let me know what these are commonly known by. It is a narrow bar/tube with two caps fixed to each end. A leather strap then has 2 slots with a hole punched, and this thingy fits through both openings and holds the strap together. I hope this made sense. Any pointers or tips would be much appreciated.
