I make LOTS of thin straps and have been putting a dyed edge on each...is there a faster way than just using a dauber. It is taking forever and they end up looking messy no matter how hard I try. I bought the cheap edge box from Weaver, but it was not what I had hoped for. It did not really make it easier. Is there a better way? THANKS

Is this machine sufficient for my small shop? I make headstalls/breastcollars/halters. I have been using a converted shop press, but am tired of its problems. Just wondering if this will be enough for me or if I should go with a larger machine. THANKS for any advice!!

Here is a pic of my press. I have been hand cranking since my dies were not cutting evenly - with my compressor they get too embedded in my cutting board. I will check to make sure all is level. May just need to have it rewelded.

1/2" thick steel and it is welded on. I will take a pic in a minute when I go out there and post it. Thanks!

I converted a shop press into a clicker and have been using it for a while now. It works, but not great. My business is busy enough now where I may just need a real clicker if I can't get this one to work better. Any suggestions? I have it hooked it up to an air compressor, but I always seem to go too deep in the cutting board. Have broken lots of boards. Other times, it does not cut all the way through and I have to recut. Is there anyway to regulate it at all? Most of the time, I just hand crank because it is easier than prying my dies out of the cutting board. Also, it cuts one end deeper than the other. I even had someone redo my steel plates because I thought they must be warped and messing up my cutting. It did not help. Help me please!!!!

Now that's an idea.....I may try the steel block on the press bed and see if I can get by with this press for a little longer!

I have been using a converted shop press but I am sick of the die either going too far through the leather into my cutting board or not far enough and having to cut again....I spend way too much time on the actual cutting. I need a real press. Just don't know if I need the huge shop swing arm machine. I will need to pay an electrician for wiring on one of those - it may be too much for my small shop anyway. Just don't want to buy a tippmann and find out I really needed the bigger machine.

My small shop has gotten too busy for my converted shop press clicker. I make tack - will a Tippmann 1500 work for me or should I get one of the hydraulic machines? Sure like the price better on the Tippmann 700, but it is probably too small. Any advice....please???

I have been using a manual stud machine for my tack, but am getting really busy. Before i spend 5500 plus shipping for an automatic spotter - I wanted some advice. Is it really worth the $? I have been using a #2 machine from Standard rivet and I also have the Weaver machine. Any help is appreciated!!!! THANKS

My small leather business has outgrown my "shop-press" clicker. We have gotten too busy and I think a real clicker would greatly help. Which one should I get? Is a Tippman enough or do I need one of the bigger ones? Can you cut more than one die at a time with these? I don't have tons of $$ but I do think it is time to move up. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!!
