About Me
I am most interested in the restoration of old saddlery made by the famous makers of yesteryear! Having been born in Hollywood, CA, I have always been a great fan of Ed Bohlin....as I would visit his store often! As a youngster, I never missed a Tournament of Roses Parade and have always admired the Ed Bohlin and Ted Flowers saddlery being displayed. My father lived very close to Gene Autry's "Melody Ranch" and I had the privilege of watching numerous old western movies being filmed on location. I always enjoyed seeing the saddles riden by the Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers and many other western stars. I also met and knew both Arvo Ojala and Andy Anderson, makers of high quality 'fast-draw' holsters and I still collect their holsters. I believe I am a pretty darn good saddle maker, but my heart remains with the old stuff that needs restoration. In addition to my restoration work, I collect almost anything that has something to do with cowboys! Saddle bags, chaps, holsters, spurs and of course old saddles are at the very top of my collectibles list!
