The only thing I know of is to paint the entire surface of the leather with acrylic paint. For the areas you want to stay natural color, mix paint that matches the color of the natural leather.

I made this to put on her photo album. Haven't done it yet because I'm afraid it will darken to much. Wonder if there is something on the market that can prevent that?

  13. Baie dankie Dave. No it is not white leather and I did not dyed it white. It is natural veg with a chestnut antika finish. it is quite light but I like it that way. lets the picture stand out more. The lettering is hand painted. I usually do the lettering on the computer, print the size i need and trasfer it on the leather. After that i cut it with a swivel knife but i don't carve it or bevel it or whatever you name it. Then it is painted the colour I want it. Very simple and very easy :-D (The girls name is done with lettering stamps.) It helps to have a steady hand!! haha have a nice day!! lekker dagi vir jou ;-) Anet

  21. Hallo Dave :-) Dankie vir die kompliment! The lettering is a stamp yes! After colouring the lettering in, i wipe over it with a damp cloth to remove te excess (is that spelled right haha?) paint. I then use a milky pen to highlight the letters. It is a 1/4 inch lettering from IVAN.
  22. Do you know what is really funny? When people ask if i burn the images on the leather :-P... How do you burn white... green... yellow... ????
