About Me
I've been involved in into leathercraft since early 2010. It came about because I needed a new wallet and belt, and after finally getting tired of the ones I bought falling apart, I said to myself (half jokingly) "I can make one better than that". My dad did leathercraft back in the '70s, and I then realized that I probably could make a belt and wallet. So I bought one of the starter kits at Tandy in early 2010, and started playing around. I was able to find about a dozen of my dad's stamps, plus his rawhide hammer and some other tools he used. I'm still learning what to do and how to do things, so I hope to learn a lot from this site.
In January 2013, I started a two-year term as the president of the South Central Leathercrafters' Guild.
