Thanks Gawdzilla, it sort of makes sense but I'm struggling to understand where the seams are. Do you have a diagram of where they lay?

I'm looking for a new stitch to use on a pouch. I have a 90degree seam between two pieces of leather and want to make a focal point out of the stitching. I am looking for something that will wrap around the outside of the leather but without looking like something done by an unlicensed surgeon.

I'm looking for a way to create a leather skull cap for wearing under maille. If posible I'd like to do it without wet moulding (as I do not have a suitable mould of my head) but if someone can advise how to wet mould it I will give it a shot. Thanks

What's the best leather to make a knife sheath out of? I have 6oz Vegetable Tan, 6oz Redhide, 3oz Calf Skin and not really leather but I've got it anyways 6oz Vinyl.
