Hello miss Becky..Did you ever get your needle knots worked out?I do not use them,usually just drop number of hairs down and hitch buttons.Started putting horsehair pineapple knots on.Thay take longer than if you hitch them but look really good.Hope to see more of your posts.Not many of us hitchers on here..lol...Ken Smith(justken)

I am a little more than a beginner horse hair hitcher. Been making and selling stuff for almost a year now, but the needle knot has evaded me! I've been researching it and it looks to be simular to hitching only done around a pull of hair instead of the nylon string? Am I right? Could anyone out there give me a pointer? I'm making a hat band and just don't like the looks of the bulky hitched buttons on it, I want to finish it with something a little more neat looking? Thanks in advance for any help.
