About Me
I am relatively new to leather working, starting around 2010. However, I have definitely been bitten by the bug. I am pursuing this as a vocation (I guess that means somewhere between a hobby and a full-time professional). I have enjoyed selling my stuff now at a couple of stores around the San Francisco Bay Area and at street shows and crafts fairs. I recently redid a dedicated room in my downstairs as a work shop with a large tooling bench, dedicated cutting table and finishing station. Much of the ideas for these plans and layout came from the blogs on this very website.
Mostly I make belts, whiskey flasks, sporrans for kilts, knife/sword sheaths, kilt belts and Scottish targes. As you might guess, most of my decorative designs are Celtic in nature.
I am making and selling my work under the name of William Shaw Fine leather Crafts.
