Hi guys, I've been thinking of making up a few leather belts but was wondering which cut of leather is best to use? Double shoulder? Butt? Or something else? If I'm lining the belt as well, should the lining be from the same cut i.e. both belt and liner be from butt etc? Thanks, Simon

Hi guys, I've bought some veg tan buffalo calf leather and was wondering how it compares to veg tan cowhide? Are there any disadvantages to using it? It's approx 1.8mm thick (4-5oz) but I've only worked with cow hide before so am wondering if there's anything to worry about. Would it be suitable for making notebook covers with?
