It seems to be working now, had to loosen the needle plate a bit. I guess the new shuttle carrier was a bit thicker than the original. Thanks for your help.

Question: I have a Singer 29k71, never had problems with it until a couple of days ago. I replace the bobbin shuttle with leaf spring with a new one and also replaced the shuttle carrier with spring. Now the problem is that the shuttle gets thread from the upper thread inside the leaf spring and gets tangled. This machine never used to do that before so I uninstalled all the parts and its still doing the same thing. Please Help.....
