  2. Hello everybody, New member here. Im a cabinetmaker who wants to try his hands at leatherwork. Since im also a watch lover, I thought I would start with strapmaking and made a couple of them. As the topic says, i have a lot of difficulty with the edges. By that I mean that i cant seem to make the edge hold or at least durable because a watchstrap is by nature flexed or twisted a lot. I have tried Mr. Hidepounder technique without success. Maybe there's something that i dont understand or not doing correctly, maybe im asking to much and that perhaps it is normal that the paint or stain wears off after a few days. Can someone give some pointers regarding that... Thank you so much
