Hi, my name is Jennifer. I live in south-central Texas with my seven-year-old son, several horses, a few donkeys, dogs, dairy goats, chickens, turkeys, peafowl, and one small parrot-type bird. I am a rabid do-it-yourselfer. It drives people nuts. But I look at something and say, "I can do that!" Is that so wrong?

I just started leatherworking in 2011. I would like to be able to make just a little extra money so that I can continue to stay at home and raise my own son. So far my biggest selling items have been biothane dog collars. Go figure.

I train a few horses on the side, grow some of my own food, milk my own goats, brew my own beer, raise my own chickens for meat and eggs, and try to do right by Mother Earth.
