I want to make a couple straight razor strops. I'm having trouble finding some really nice horsebutt or Cordovan. Has anyone come across European Steerhide to make strops out of as well. Thanks for your help, David

I'm just getting back in to leather after a long break. I want to make some NICE razor strops for straight razor shaving. I would like to find some grade a really pretty supple Horsehide. I would also like to make a couple from a nice Latigo or if it's really nice maybe some English Bridle. Is it possible to find micro buffed Steerhide or is that something I would have to do myself. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ,David
