About Me

I participate in American Revolutionary War living history.  I make most of my own 18th century clothing myself by hand - including making my own buckskin breeches and riding gloves!  I also try to make all my own18th century leather items (cartridge boxes, bayonet from and scabbard by hand as well. I own a horse.  She also participates in living history.  I am not experienced enough to have made her 18th century saddle and bridle (both of which were made by Stuart Lilie - head of interpretation at Fort Ticonderoga and former saddler at Colonial Williamsburg).  For my horse I have made my own 18th century housing, and also 18th century halter and lead. I have even made a letter dragoon helmet!  The past couple of years I have veered into making leather safari hats and purchased a Cowboy Leather sewing machine to do so.  I truly enjoy working with leather!
