About Me
From that point I At some point, an artist must choose the "media" upon which they will primarily focus. For some this is an easy task, for others (such as myself) who enjoy many types of artistic endeavors, it can take many years of exploration. For myself, the latter was the case.
In 2003, I met my husband. Our first date encompassed dinner and what was supposed to be a brief stop at his saddle shop that turned into several hours of him explaining/demonstrating various aspects of leatherworking and saddlemaking. It wasn't his fault, he was fielding question after question from one very excited artist, who had just found her media!
Leatherwork (as an art form) is distintly unique in that it it's both functional and incorporates other types of media - drawing, painting, textiles, sculpting, woodworking, etc. into the completed piece.
