  1. A couple of last question. Im sorry to ask such simple questions and bug you.

    1-What groover do you use?

2-Do you buy belt blanks or do you cut your own?

Thank you so much for the help. Your work is amazing!! DC

I still use my trusty Tandy groover (the only Tandy tool I still use)

I buy strips from Springfield. They know that I only accept top notch strips and that is what I receive, Plus they are cut from Herman Oak. I'd much rather pay someone to cut it for me and know that each strap I get is usable and real tight grained. I do cut my own liners though

  2. Great work. Couple of questions if you don't mind concerning your sewing.

    1. What machine do you sew with, thread size and spi.

    2. Do you groove it before you sew? Your thread seems to be in a "Trench" so to speak.

I lover this belt. Thanks DC

    1. Cobra Class 4, 138, and 11spi.

    2. Yes I like to groove before stitching, it gives a nice guidline and alloows the stitches to be lees prone to wear.

  3. Very nice belt, deep carving and seems like a stout construction....all in all a top notch project.

The only thing, if any I can see anything... is the somewhat inconsistence border of the carving to the sewing line....guess that would be the outer frame of the carving design....but in no means anything that takes away from your craft!

Very nice, and very time consuming too..?!

    Well done!!

Thanks for the praise, And i did notice the exact same thing with my backgronding, I did not actually cut a line for a guide on my bargrounding. I'll probably do so next time to see if I get a better result. It is time consuming I spent 10-12 hour on it.
