Hi, I would like to know if anyone knows of any suppliers in sw Fl. We moved to Port Charlotte 2 yrs. back, & then I became a paraplegic & I'm thinking of working out of my garage, I'm no expert, but I know how to make holsters & knife sheaths. I would like to find a place where I can go in & look & buy whatever I need / want. I also have to buy tools. Please let me know. Thanks. Louie.

Hi, my name is Louie, two years ago I became a Paraplegic, so I'm wheelchair bound. I used to be a surgical nurse, my wife, who used to be a nurse also, had to quit her job to take care of me. I've done a few little things in leather, as a hobby. Now I would like to make little shop in my garage, so that I can do leather work. I just finished my first holster, but for some reason I can't post pictures. I would like to get a sewing machine , but financially, I can't. I was wondering if anyone knows of any charity that could help me, I've seen a few machines in the Goodwill stores, but I don't know if they can sew leather. Are there any kind that can sew fabric & leather? Also, I want to know which is the right leather for holsters? I know it goes by ounces, but I don't know which one is good for what. Thanks for any help. Louie.

Hi guys, I've been away from the forum, because a year ago this month I had back surgery by a quack, & now I'm on a wheelchair, the thing is that I've been buying gloves to use when I'm wheeling myself around, & they really don't last, they don't fit right, so I'm thinking of making my own. The thing is I don't where to start, where can I find plans for them? Can someone point me on the right direction? Thanks for any help. Latter, Louie.
