Hi, here are two of my latest sheaths...first one is for an older Busse Steelheart. The little Pocket holds a brass EZE knife sharpener. The other one is made for the little Boker "Tunnelrat", which comes with an orange handle. The sheath was really fun to build, because it has a little Inlay made of Stingray. With best regards from germany Danny

Hi Black Rivet, the bigger hole is made with a 4mm (dont know that exactly in inches) punch, used with a press. Than comes the Cutter to do the little slit. After that, I have made the very small hole with an 1,2mm drill at the end of the slit. I have tried this special punch with two holes on each side, but the result was disapointing me a littlebit. So I do it in this easy, durable way. Greets from germany Danny

Hello Cameroo, thank you! But I am sorry, because I dont have a website or anything else...it is just a hobby. If you want, I will send some pictures of my Quivers at your e-mail adress? My way was the same like yours. I looked out for a nice sheath for an old Buck Frontiersman, but was not very successfull. So I began to do it by myself. Suddenly, I was producing sheaths, holsters, armguards, belts...leatherworking just makes me happy and relaxed. with best regards Danny -
Peacemaker Holster
Geronimo replied to Geronimo's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Hi Rudi, I have tried to combine the patterns in the book. My drawing isn`t that good enough to do carving patterns by my self. So I am looking for different patterns, combine them and have a complete new idea. Please, have a look on this holster quiver for archers...the used pattern is out of the Al Stohlman book and is normally used for gun holsters. With best regards to Vienna Danny -
Armguard With Snakeskin Inlay

Hello, thanks a lot for the Tip to have a look at Seven Meadows Archery...was very interesting for me. I tried all styles of Quivers and build most of them by my self. My favourite is an "Holster Quiver", which is very good in handling, because the arrows could be carry in a very safe way. Yes, I have used a press for the lacing hooks. Without a press, I think it is not possible to set these rivets accurate! I have tried it, but wasn`t good...no, was impossible!!! Here is my last Holster-Quiver...thanks for looking! It was also for a friend of mine. I have tried to make the carving inverted for the first time. Was not easy but it was fun! With best regards from germany Danny -
Hello, here is my one and only Peacemaker Holster. The used pattern for it, comes from the very helpful book "how to make Holsters" by Al Stohlman. This holster was one of my first experiences in leatherworking and is not really perfect...but it was fun to make it! The gun is not a real one- it is an Hege Modell gun...without a license, weapons like this are strongly forbidden in germany. Greetings Danny

Armguard With Snakeskin Inlay
Geronimo replied to Geronimo's topic in Collars, Cuffs, Leashes and Leads
So, bevor man uns hier als komplett unhöflich empfindet...back to english- so gut es geht :-))). Viele Grüße Danny -

Armguard With Snakeskin Inlay
Geronimo replied to Geronimo's topic in Collars, Cuffs, Leashes and Leads
Hello again, thank you all for the comments. It is very hard to get snakeskin in gemany, because it is an item you can only buy in other countries. Generally goods for leatherworking are a problem, because this kind of a hobby activity is not very popular here. The Armguard is for a bowyer- it should protect the lower arm against the bowstring. with best regards Danny -
Hello, I have made this armguard for a friend of mine. It was very interesting for me, because he wants his armguard with an Inlay....made of snakeskin. Later on, he wanted a belt in a similar style, also with these inlays. Okay, I have tried my very best. I hope, you will like it. with best regards from germany Danny

Hello, I want to show you some of my latest Leatherworks. My latest sheath was made for my old and rare Smith&Wesson Survival Bowie. I love these typical Randall-Style Sheaths...so I have tried to do it in the same way. The second one is a sheath for a very nice Blackjack. I hope you will enjoy it. Sorry for the horrible english- my name is Danny and I am coming from northern germany.
