Hi, my name is Bob Grove and I am from Prince George, Va. I started leather work as a youngster and began making and repairing saddles in 1962. My friends and customers started calling me the saddle doctor which has stuck over the years. I am now retired and really now enjoying leather work of all types from a shop at my home. I still repair saddle and tack but my main interest is figure carvings and carvings of all types. My carving skills are self taught and I feel lucky to have found this forum where I can learn the correct way to carve and become a better craftsman.
