Hey everyone , have a question for you all, I have a chance at getting a singer 99-13 sewing machine, I am wondering if this will sew leather? I also have a chance at getting a Pearson #6 harness stitched, I have been helping out an elderly neighbour for some time now and he knows I tinker in leather so today while having coffee he say's to me come to the barn with me , I want to shoe you something, so off to the barn we go , well holy shit the leather working stuff that was in there,, any way he offered the #6 and the singer 99-13 to me along with some other things. What is the price on this equipment?

Hey everyone, any pointers on how to get rid of all the fzz leather on the back of my belts?thanks
-
Thanks for the info, I have been trying different speeds on my press and came up with a not bad combo, my edges are pretty slick now I am pretty happy with them, I still don't care much for the track gum, I will be buying other edgeing compound.

OK I have been using this trabacanth gum on my edges with my burnishing tool in my drillpress and I can't get my edges black Am I doing something wrong? What speed should I be running on my press? How slow do u run the leather threw the burnisher? Anything better than trabacanth gum? Thank you all for any help.

Hi from Alberta Canada, I bought my wife the ultimate leathercraft kit 2 years ago for Christmas,6 months ago I injured myself at work, being stuck at home with nothing to do I decided to try my hand at leather work and Ohhhhhhhhh my lord, what a blast I had, I never knew It was so much fun and to me relaxing as well. Anyways I was wondering if any of you had some pointers for a fresh like myself, I am planning on taking some coarse threw Tandy here in Edmonton For the person or persons who run this site.... Hats off to ya, keep up the great work.

Well the 2 tool holders are Oak and the stitching horse I just used pine, I am building the one in back of Al Stohlmans book but that one I am building out of Canadian maple, Should look really sharp with a blood red stain on it, will have to wait and see when I am done -
