Doesnt have to be for a cobra...could be for an artisan....juki....etc. Really just needs to be for a 441 machine. Think I will try some local machine shops and see if they can help me out.

Wondering if anyone knows where I can get a custom plate and feed dog made for a Cobra class 4. The standard plate is too wide and doesnt allow me to sew close to the edge without my material falling in. The slotted plate works good when I can get it to work. My first stitch is usually too long using the slotted plate. I need something the width of the slotted plate...maybe a hair wider that uses a smooth feed dog.

Shipping should be about $200. So for approx. $1250 you get a barely used 1797 50+ bobbins, 2 dozen needles, and 2 cones of thread. Pretty good deal compared to what I paid.

I would be willing to ship this via ups if buyer agrees to pay shipping charges. Will ship in 3 boxes.

Awesome thank you, Im sewing 2 layers of 5oz bridle leather. TRI would be a better option for this thickness?

Looking at getting some new needles. Whats the difference between a 135x16DIA and 135x16TRI? I look at Schmetz website and they look the same to me. One says it is for upholstery and the other luggage. Anyone know if there is a difference?

Im guessing the rest of the stitches look good. Could perhaps the bobbin need adjustment?

Ive attached this photo to better explain the problem im having. Im using 2 different colored threads so to show better. Blue is my top thread and khaki is my bobbin thread.

Im not sure I follow you. Dont suppose anyone has a how to guide with some photos? Getting frustrated.....straight stitches are great......but corners are killing me. ugh

Recently bought a Artisan 1797 and am having some issues sewing a corner. When I get to the corner, when do i turn the material? Do I turn it when the needle is in the leather, all the way out, somewhere in between? Its probably something im just missing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
