I am a full-time Supervisory Border Patrol Agent in South Texas and now part-time leather craft dabbler. Two years ago, I bought several Boker Trapper knives for my nephews and decided to make the sheaths myself. I went out to Hobby Lobby and bought scrap leather and some basic tools. I looked up some basic tutorials on the internet and I made them their pouch sheaths. I showed them to some guys at work and then started getting request from the guys. A year later, someone asked if I made holsters, I said no but I can learn and I made them a holster. The owner and head firearms instructor at the Gravick Ranch Shooting Academy saw my work and ordered some holsters and mag pouches with their logo branded on them. Later they asked if I could make skeet shooting belt pouches and such. Now I am the Gravick Ranch Shooting Academy leather guy. I make all of their leather products. I am currently working on satchels and brief cases with hidden holsters for concealed carry. I will be eligible for retirement soon and I am getting ready for it by turning my new hobby into something bigger.
