  1. When dying and antiquing using wool remnants, can u wash out the wool to reuse later or just discard the thing and get a new one? Also, can u reuse the same piece of wool to apply dye to a second or third piece after the dye has dried in the wool? Thinking of the oil dyes and antiques.
  2. Olive oil works just fine. Olive oil doesn't turn the leather quite as dark as neatsfoot and won't stain clothing like neatsfoot can in certain circumstances. I just ordered a new saddle and the maker said that he uses straight Murphy's Oil Soap for wood on some of his saddles he works on. He says that it'll darken the leather more than neatsfoot.
