He;p me out..how to obtain wood pegs(nails) for making shoe

Found a site that talks about woooden nails in shoe making. The blogger says "since wooden peg nails were not available in the city we lived in, my father used matchsticks to achieve the same result." If you can't find pegs, or don't want a quart of them... maybe that will work?
