    Kangaroo lace

Trying to get back to lacing and looking for source for kangaroo. Is Y Knot Lace still around or recommend another good source. Thanks.
  2. Brian-thanks so much for responding to my query. Sadly to say, those types of diagrams really are confusing to me especially. May I ask where this came from and are there any more instructions I could look at? I am willing to give it a try, just need a little more guidance in this area. Sorry if I appear so helpless.
  3. A complete newbie here, but a question. I see there are different ways or sequences to braid six, eight strands etc., but is there any other way to braid four strands other than the one over, under, etc> LIke I said, maybe a stupid question, but would like to know.
  4. The bosal looking good. I have noticed that several braiders on the forum are using latigo. What thickness? do you order a side and cut strings or os there a place to order just latigo strings?? Thanks.
  5. There are some superior braiders on here...give them a little time to find the thread and I'm sure you will get more responses....
  6. Would this be a seminar for differnt levels of experience--rank beginner, moderate beginner, advanced???
  7. Thanks Brian--yep that helps. I was kinda leaning toward the 1/8 roo myself, but wasn't sure. I'll give it a try and see how she turns out.
  8. I have the 'want to' to cover a ring. I have a two inch brass ring and have two widths of kangaroo--1/8 inch and 3/16 inch. I have two questions. 1) Which width do you think would look better, and 2) How do you determine the length of lace needed to cover the ring??? Hope some of you guys , or gals, can help out here. Thanks for your time. And if I ever figure out how to post pics, I'll show my finished work. thanks again. Charlie
  9. Yep, that looks like it--I think. Made me just dizzy looking at it--it'll take me a bit to digest that one. That one would be a great one for someone to do a tutorial for us slow learners. Thanks a bunch as always.
  10. There is a covered ring on the 'bay' up for auction. The item number is 230592031985 Could someone look at this and tell me how this ring was covered and what braid was used? It is a good looking job and I don't think I have ever seen anyone use this braid to cover a ring. I would post a picture of it, but not sure that is allowed. Thanks in advance.
  11. OK, question: Is a 12 rectangular braid done the same as a 12 round braid without the core?
  12. Sounds good-I'll let you know how it comes out. Charlie
  13. I have a friend who is bringing me a braided rawhide headstall that is pretty dirty. It is a nice headstall, but does need a good cleaning. SO--for all you rawhide braiders out there, what is the best thing to use to clean it--and any tips or precautions??? Thanks for your time in advance. Charlie
  14. You are the man! Great tutorial. Thanks for taking the time.
