I have an R but I am doing a C seat for a buddy now. You can see some of the mistakes I amde here on mine it looks ok but not good enough in my opinion. As far as the patter that was tuff in the end I went to ebay, bought a couple stock seats cheap (between 30 and 50 bucks) and cut the stitching and made my pattern on light card. I need to make another as I am currently re-doing my first attempt. hope this helps man Dunc

THis seat is very close if not the same as my honda VTX 1300 seat I have. I am in the process of re-doing mine after much consideration I am going to mix the two styles (Daves and Beeza's) Let me explain... I am going to lace the seat front to the piece that covers the back top of the seat, where the stitching is now. I will tool the top seat and I think I am going to basket weave thr back top piece. Some things to consider... Don't put your lace underneath you as a rider this is just painful after a while and cuts off circulation. Pay special attention to the number of holes you have on your laced sides, if they don't match your seat wil not come out right. Use beeza's method for securing the seat to the pan with pop rivets. hope this helps Dunc

Actually, believe it or not I used a Preval sprayer and a shield. I have an airbrush but I need to get a small compressor for it. I was surprised by the results myself! Thanks for the kind words Dunc

Ian, Awesome bags I have recently started my first set of bags for my personal Honda VTX1300. I am happy with my results so far, however I am not 100% sold on the pattern I have. I am using the Tandy motorcycle saddlebag pack. I do like the bags but a more up to date look would be cool. At any rate I was wondering where you got your patterns? Did you create them yourself? or do you know something I don't. Thanks in advance and again very nice work Dunc

Hey everyone, I am new to the board and I have to admit I have been lurking for about a month. I just picked up leathercraft with the intention of making motorcycle seats, I have finished my first and while it is a nice seat (pics soon) What the seat ultimately was; was a huge learning experience! Between David and Beeza I figured out most of the process the only thing I would like to improve is my patterns. I am making seats for honda cruisers (VTX 1300R) for myself and a buddy. Okay, so heres my question how do you guys go about making a seat pattern? Any help would be cool. I am in awe of your work, Dunc
