Ordered a hide and i cant use it for tooling since it has been oiled. Is there anything i can do to it, to make it suitable for tooling again????

yes it is thoroughly oiled, and way too soft to tool. i did try casing it. It does take dye just looks a bit crapy...the colors turn out darker. anyway, thanks for the help everyone! i ll just use it for other stuff.

Look at it like this - sometimes it's nice to take a break from tooling and just bust out some cool leather stuff that's got style!!
