  1. Murf I used a P 206 a smooth pear shader. Taking hitting it at different angles , spinning it around, and striking it with varying firmness. Hope that helps you out some, happy tooling. John
  2. Thank you for the tip. As far as the scales goes I used a U859 mule foot and a modeler to put the little dent on the back end of each scale.
  3. Pretty kool looking nice details. I just completed a dragon myself.
  4. That is very nice, good detailing. I have done few portraits on the scroll saw. So now I will have to one in leather.
  5. Hope all are doing well. Have a couple of practice pieces that I have done. Would like tips on what could be done to make them better. Thank you all for any advice you care to give. John
  6. Thank you for the kind words. John
  7. Hi all, my name is John . I just started leather tooling about three weeks ago. I'm a member of the Florida Everglades Leather Guild . Ernie and Bea Wayman are the ones that got me addicted to leather. Then stumbled upon this forum that has all kinds of fix for leather junkies, a wonderful forum you all have here thanks for letting me join the fun. So here my first few tooling.
  8. That is one sweet looking knife there. Good craftsmanship done both. John
