  1. Could use some help in the "tension setting" department please.  I am a little scared to turn dials but know I need to adjust the tension as my bottom stitches are coming up to the top.  Thanks for any advice you can give.

      Hello debinarizona, If this question relates to the Cowboy Model 227R this link should help to look at first. So long as every thing is threaded properly and there is nothing snagging or holding up the thread path then turn your top tension knob anticlockwise 1/2 turn back and test stitch.If still to the top, do again. Clockwise is tighter and anti clockwise is looser. This is so with every sewing machine that I have that I can think if at least. If after doing this a few times and it does not work then most likely your bobbin thread is not under it's spring correctly. BTW -how did you get by for 3 years without touching the tensions?
